See an ENT specialist if facial pain or pressure, nasal blockage, and thick discharge last more than 10 days, keep coming back, or do not settle with initial treatment. Fever, swelling around the eye, or severe headache need urgent review.

Surgery is considered only for specific reasons — repeated throat infections each year, difficulty breathing or heavy snoring with pauses in sleep, or persistent ear problems from adenoid enlargement. Many children are managed without surgery, and our ENT surgeon will explain whether your child meets the criteria.

The ear is examined and a hearing test arranged where needed. Causes range from wax and eustachian-tube dysfunction to fluid behind the eardrum or age-related hearing loss. Treatment depends on the cause and may be medical, a minor procedure, or a hearing-aid referral.

Yes. ENT assessment can identify common inner-ear causes of vertigo such as BPPV and vestibular problems. Many cases respond to specific repositioning manoeuvres and a short course of medication, along with balance exercises.

Snoring and suspected obstructive sleep apnoea are assessed with a nasal and throat examination and, where needed, a sleep study. Options range from weight and position advice to treating nasal blockage, and CPAP or surgery for selected patients.
